Abstract
⺠The specific heat in the Hubbard model displays a two peak structure. ⺠The pseudogap and its interplay with the specific heat, is discussed. ⺠The specific heat is analyzed in terms of the renormalized quasi-particle bands. ⺠The effects of the second nearest neighbor hopping on the specific heat are investigated.
