Abstract
⺠Thermal rectification in a two segment rod is investigated with Fourier's law. ⺠The effect of the Kapitza resistance at the boundary of the segments is included. ⺠The Kapitza resistance enhances thermal rectification. ⺠The Kapitza resistance is crucial for the rods of submillimeter length. ⺠The results obtained can be applied to the thermal rectification of a Ge/Si rod.
