Abstract
⺠In Cd1âxVxSe alloys the FM state is more stable than AFM state. ⺠Cd0.25V0.75Se and Cd0.5V0.5Se compounds have HM nature at the equilibrium volume. ⺠Obtained HM gaps with EV-GGA have considerably improved comparing with PBE-GGA. ⺠The Mtot of Cd0.25V0.75Se and Cd0.5V0.5Se alloys are 3 μB integer values. ⺠HM nature is found at 5.81, 3.89 and 5.61 Ã
for x=0.25, 0.5 and 0.75, respectively.
