Abstract
We have investigated elastic moduli c11, c12 and c44 of La0.83Sr0.17MnO3 in cubic phase using Rigid Ion Model (RIM) at temperature 212Kâ¤Tâ¤280K. The elastic moduli computed by us show an anomalous behaviour with the variation of temperature. Our results on the elastic moduli for the temperature range 212Kâ¤Tâ¤280K are in good agreement with resonant ultrasound spectroscopy measured data. Furthermore, we have reported the Specific heat at different temperature to examine the electron-lattice interaction of La0.83Sr0.17MnO3. Besides, the results on cohesive and thermal properties are also discussed.
