Abstract
Hexagonal phase ZnS nanocrystals with the size of ∼5 nm were synthesized by microwave thermolysis of a single-source molecular precursor of zinc diethyldithiocarbamate (Zn(DDTC)2) in ethylene glycol at 110 ∘C for 5 min. The as-prepared products have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The optical property of the ZnS nanocrystals was investigated by photoluminescence spectrum.
