Abstract
SrTiO3 nanoparticles or submicro/nanowires were prepared by the reaction of layered titanate nanotubes or nanowires with Sr(OH)2 in an autoclave. The products were investigated using various techniques. The XRD measurement results show that the SrTiO3 phase can be easily obtained by controlling reaction temperature and time. The Raman spectroscopy further demonstrates the results of XRD measurement. The SEM and TEM images show that SrTiO3 wires can be prepared from layered titanate nanowires at a reaction temperature of 180 oC for a reaction time of 48 h, whereas SrTiO3 wires could not be synthesized from layered titanate nanotubes.
