Abstract
Coherent nonlinear optical spectroscopy of single electron quantum dots allows us to measure the decay and decoherence times of the charged exciton (trion) state. Our results show that the decoherence time of QD trions is not significantly affected by pure dephasing processes, which are suppressed by the zero-dimensional nature of the orbital states of the QD.
