Abstract
Zn0.8Li0.2O ceramics with wurtzite structure have been fabricated by a solid reaction of ZnO and Li2CO3. The effects of substitutional Li atoms on the crystal structure and structural phase transition of ZnO are studied by Raman spectroscopy. The enhancement of E1(LO) mode in Zn0.8Li0.2O ceramics reveals the occurrence of Li-induced structural disorder. Temperature dependent Raman spectra strongly indicate that a structural phase transition occurs at about 448 K in Zn0.8Li0.2O ceramics.
