The orthorhombic α″ martensite phase was found in water quenched Ti-41Zr-7.3Al (wt.%) alloy with no β-stabilizing element there. After aging, the final products of decomposed α″ phase were α + α2 phases rather than α + β phases in previous known. Moreover, the water quenched TiZrAl alloy reached the strength and the elongation as high as 1381 MPa and 11.91%, respectively. After aging at 400 °C for 10 h, the strength further increased to 1449 MPa, and still retained the elongation of 7.74%.
