Abstract
ⶠPrecipitation hardening (PH) in Ti-rich SMA ribbon is tested using nanoindentation. ⶠThe PH effect comes from the coexistence of nanoscale Ti2Ni/Ti3Ni4 precipitates. ⶠFor PHed ribbon, the hardness increment reaches 1 GPa after aging at 773 K for 1 h. ⶠThe pseudoelasticiy (PE) of the PHed ribbons is also tested by a nanoindenter. ⶠThe PHed ribbons can strengthen the matrix and promote their SME/PE properties.
