Abstract
The magnetic properties of Mn1−xAl1−yCox+y alloys are outlined. Electron probe microanalysis (EPMA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (DRX) measurements showed that all investigated samples are thoroughly homogeneous and have the same crystallographic structure identified as B2 (CsCl-type). With the increase of the Co concentration the saturation magnetization and Curie temperature decrease and a lattice contraction is observed.
