Abstract
Spherical Zr65Al10Ni10Cu15 metallic glass (MG) powders were prepared using a high-pressure gas atomizer, followed by consolidation using spark plasma sintering (SPS) process. This investigation is to discuss the thermal properties, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of MGs with the SPS temperature. The SPS bulk showed that both the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance improved with increasing the temperature. As the temperature became over the glass transition temperature (Tg), however, these properties dramatically lowered, corresponding to formation of crystalline phases.
