Abstract
Phase equilibria in the Bi-Cu-Sb ternary system have been studied experimentally and calculated by the CALPHAD method. Three calculated vertical sections from bismuth corner with molar ratio of copper and antimony equal to 7/3, 1/1 and 3/7 and one vertical section from antimony corner with molar ratio of copper and bismuth equal to 1/1 were compared with the DTA results from this work. Calculated isothermal section at 400 °C was compared with the results of SEM/EDX analysis from the present study. Reasonable agreement between calculations and experimental data was observed in all cases.
