Abstract
Reaction invariant compositions are determined using a nonlinear transformation of real composition variables. The transformation requires the choice of a feasible set of reference components. For multiple reactions there are many possible sets of reference components and often not all are feasible. We present two conditions that must be satisfied by a feasible set of reference components.
