Abstract
⺠The maximum lapping velocity has reached to 50 m/s, and it is much higher than that of the convention mechanical lapping method. ⺠The maximum material removal rate could reach to 0.36 mg/min under proper lapping speed. ⺠Material removal mechanism has been found to be mainly mechanical wear and the transformation of diamond to non-diamond carbon.
