Abstract
⺠The effects of Mo additions on the corrosion behavior of WC-TiC-Ni hardmetals have been studied in 1 M H2SO4 and 1 M HCl. ⺠The Mo additions can significantly enhance the corrosion resistance of WC-TiC-Ni alloys. ⺠The Ni-based alloys show typical passivation behavior in H2SO4 owing to the formation of NiSO4, NiWO4 and oxide films.
