Abstract
⺠High dense composites (> 96% TD) of TiB2 + CrB2 + MoSi2 were prepared. ⺠The nature of oxidation of the composite was parabolic at 750 and cubic at 850 °C. ⺠Formation of a continuous and protective thick glassy phase was seen with 15% CrB2. ⺠This composite is found to be a more oxidation resistant material. ⺠B and Si diffuse towards the surface during the high temperature oxidation.
