Abstract
⺠The high-temperature thermal stability of Zr2Al4C5 under Ar atmosphere has been studied by thermal expansion analysis. ⺠Zr2Al4C5 was susceptible to decomposition at temperatures above 1900 °C. ⺠The thermal expansion analysis can provide a practical way for studying thermal stability of high temperature materials.
