Abstract
⺠TiC was synthesized by pyrolysis of [-MeSi(H)Câ¡C-]n mixed with Ti and TiSi2. ⺠This polymer of [-MeSi(H)Câ¡C-]n provides a unique source of C element. ⺠By varying the raw materials ratio, TiC with different morphologies can be obtained. ⺠Addition of fusing agent impels the formation of near spherical TiC crystals.
