Abstract
⺠The oxidation behavior of Al2O3-TiC-Co composites has been studied in air in the temperature range from 200 ° to 1000 ° for 25 h. ⺠The mechanism of oxidation has been analyzed using thermodynamic and kinetic considerations. ⺠The oxidation kinetics of ATC followed a rate that is faster than the parabolic-rate law at 800 ° and 1000 °.
