Abstract
⺠High purity nano particles of tungsten carbide are synthesized. ⺠Wolframite (ore of tungsten) is used for the synthesis. ⺠These uniform shaped particles can replace costly catalyst (platinum) in fuel cells. ⺠A simple low cost indigenously designed autoclave is used for the synthesis. ⺠The synthesis route is quite simple.
