Abstract
► TiC based preforms have been prepared using anionic and cationic polyelectrolytes. ► Both dispersant types have been compared on the same TiC powder for the first time. ► Suspensions were characterised using sedimentation, zeta potential and rheology tests. ► Appropriate processing conditions are outlined for the use of both types of dispersant.
