Abstract
The kinetics of carbothermic reduction of zirconia was studied by non-isothermal TGA with heating rate 10 °C min−1 under Argon flowing. The zirconia and reaction products were analyzed by XRD method. The model-fitting kinetic approach has been applied to TGA data. The reaction mechanism for carbothermal reduction of zirconia was determined to be chemically control with E = 273.0 kJ mol−1 and A = 1.0 × 109 S−1.
