Abstract
Valency of Eu and Yb in Eu5In2Sb6 and Yb5Ga2Sb6 has studied by bond analysis, magnetic and XANES measurements. Eu5In2Sb6 and Yb5Ga2Sb6 are paramagnetic while Yb5Al2Sb6 and Yb5In2Sb6 are Pauli paramagnets.177
