Abstract
We show the application of the Calphad method to the phase diagram and thermodynamic description of the metal-hydrogen systems. The basics of the technique and selected examples will be presented demonstrating how, specifically, in the case of metal-hydrogen systems, it is able (i) to describe simple systems in a self-consistent way and (ii) to predict phase equilibrium in multi-component systems.
