Abstract
Variation of flux pinning energy as a function of external magnetic fields up to 7Â T for the pure and Bi-site La substituted Bi-2212 superconducting materials. Both the La inclusions inserted in the Bi-2212 crystal structure and the applied magnetic fields undermine the pinning of two-dimensional 2D pancake vortices as a consequence of the decoupling of the adjacent layers and the suppression of the interlayer Josephson coupling length.
