Abstract
In this work, the platelike NaNbO3 (NN) particles were obtained via a new method using K2CO3 as raw materials. The synthesized platelike NN particles have high aspect ratio with a thickness of 0.5-1 μm, a width of 5-8 μm and a length of 10-18 μm. The ã0 0 1ã textured lead-free piezoelectric 0.92(Na0.5K0.5)NbO3-0.06BaZrO3-0.02 (Bi0.5Li0.5)TiO3 (0.92KNN-0.06BZ-0.02BLT) ceramics were fabricated by template grain growth (TGG) in combination with tape casting using NN as a template. High ã0 0 1ã orientation degree of 86% was achieved at 1125 °C for 2 h. The textured ceramics exhibited excellent piezoelectric performance with the piezoelectric coefficient d33 = 271 pC/N, Curie temperature Tc = 251 °C, strain levels of 0.13% at 40 kV/cm and remnant polarization Pr = 18.5 μC/cm2.
