Abstract
The Nb-Ti-C-B composites were fabricated by arc-melting method under an argon atmosphere. (Nb, Ti)C carbides and (Nb, Ti)B borides were in-situ precipitated to form network structure in the Nbss matrix. The high temperature deformation behavior of the composites was investigated by the compressive experiments in the range of 1000-1200 °C. The compression strength of the composites decreases with the testing temperature increasing. However, the compression strength increases as the precipitation concentration increases. The compressive deformation mechanism dependent on temperature and precipitation are also discussed in details.
