Abstract
Nonlinear crystals of PbGa6Te10 and PbIn6Te10, transparent into the mid- and far-infrared spectral range up to beyond 30 μm, are grown and some of their linear and nonlinear optical properties are characterized. This information obtained from single crystals is used for the study and construction of binary phase diagrams of the systems PbTe-Ga2Te3 and PbTe-In2Te3.
