Abstract
In this paper, two kinds of Li4Ti5O12–TMO (Fe2O3 and CuO) composites were synthesized by a two-step solution-combustion method. Both LTO–Fe2O3 and LTO–CuO composites delivered high reversible capacity of 172 mA h g−1 over 100 cycles. Li4Ti5O12–CuO also showed excellent rate performance of 106 mA h g−1 at 20 C. The enhanced performance can be ascribed to the high capacity of TMO and the possible contribution for the electron conduction from Fe/Cu generated in the conversion reaction.
