Abstract
•We study thermodynamic and electrical properties of spinel CuCrTiS4CuCrTiS4.•Electrical resistivity shows insulating temperature dependence.•Thermal conductivity has the contribution from the localized vibration hopping mode.•Thermopower can be reproduced by the Matoba’s model in the wide temperature range.•CuCrTiS4CuCrTiS4 has a dimensionless figure of merit of 0.01 at 300 K.
We studied the electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity, and thermopower of thiospinel CuCrTiS4CuCrTiS4. Temperature (T ) dependence of the electrical resistivity (ρρ) is insulating in the whole temperature range we measured, 5
