Abstract
Mg-Mn-Fe-Co-Ni-Gd alloy films were prepared by electrodeposition. The surface morphology can be controlled by deposition potential and solution composition. Hollow microspheres and core-shell microspheres can be obtained. The as-deposited alloy is amorphous. The ferromagnetism to diamagnetism transition can be observed when the contents of Mg is lower than 20%. The Anderson-Mott transition mechanism was proposed to explain the transition.
