Abstract
⺠Microstructure evolution of melt spun Al-Mn-Fe-Mo ribbon after annealing was studied. ⺠In as spun state quasicrystals enriched in Fe, Mn and Mo coexist with α-(Al). ⺠After annealing Al6(Mn, Fe) and Al12(Mn, Mo) phases were formed. ⺠Small addition of Mo improves thermal stability of quasicrystals in Al-Mn-Fe alloy.
