Abstract
Planar anisotropy Pr2Fe17N3âδ soft magnetic particles/paraffin composite was prepared. Rotational orientation through an externally applied magnetic field was used to induce the easy magnetization planes of the particles to move parallel to each other. Measurement of electromagnetic parameters show that orientation led to a higher complex permeability and a lower permittivity. The complex permeability and permittivity of the unoriented and oriented composites were used to analyze their electromagnetic wave absorption properties. The results show that the absorption properties, including reflection loss peak intensity and bandwidth of the oriented composite, were enhanced.
