Abstract
Energy-storage properties of lead-free ceramics (1âx)Bi0.47Na0.47Ba0.06TiO3-xKNbO3 (BNBT-xKN, x = 0-0.08) were investigated. The depolarization temperature of BNBT-xKN ceramics was found to decrease with the increment of KN addition. Meanwhile, the energy storage density increases drastically. A maximum value of 0.89 J/cm3 at 100 kV/cm is achieved in BNBT-0.06KN. BNBT-0.06KN ceramic not only exhibits high energy density but also fatigue-free load with energy-storage properties insensitive to temperature. These properties support that (1âx)Bi0.47Na0.47Ba0.06TiO3-xKNbO3 ceramics might be a promising lead-free material for energy-storage capacitor application.
