Abstract
⺠The embryo needs to be of a critical size in order to attain potency. ⺠Favorable shape of a martensite embryo is ellipsoidal. ⺠The orientation of the embryo also affects its potency. ⺠The dislocation density at the nucleation site affects the embryo potency.
