Abstract
⺠We found that CoO is a new candidate for the magnetostrictive material. ⺠We confirmed the rearrangement of crystallographic domains (martensite variants). ⺠The rearrangement depends on temperature and magnetic field direction. ⺠They can be explained by magnetic shear stress and twinning stress.
