Abstract
⺠Ti-Nb based alloys for medical use were fabricated by the powder metallurgy process instead of the casting-working process. ⺠The effect of ternary alloying addition on the shape memory properties of the Ti-Nb based alloys was investigated. ⺠The Ti-22 at%Nb-4 at%Al showed superelastic-like behavior at room temperature. ⺠The effect of cold working on the shape memory properties of the Ti-Nb based alloys was investigated. ⺠The cold-rolled and annealed Ti-22 at%Nb alloy had superelastic behavior and two-way shape memory effect.
