Abstract

- Bismuth telluride alloyed nanorods were synthesized by hydrothermal method.
- Nanorods with 500 nm in length are stacked by nanoplates along the c axis.
- BiTe and Bi2Te3 domains randomly distributed in the alloyed nanorods.
- The formation of inhomogeneous nanorods is related to the spiral structure of Te.
- Thermoelectric properties were measured after consolidating by two sinter methods.
