Abstract
⺠A single mechanism for spark plasma sintering of BMGs is proposed. ⺠Full densification of BMGs can be achieved through two distinct shrinkage steps. ⺠The activation energy for viscous flow in sintering was calculated. ⺠The applied compressive stress is vital for fully dense samples.
