Abstract
⺠The effect of different amount of Y2O3 addition on thermal, mechanical and optical properties was studied on Sialon ceramics. ⺠The role of different Sialon phases and intergranular phase on the properties of Sialon ceramics was studied. ⺠Nitrogen rich intergranular phase containing Sialon ceramics shows good mechanical properties and high thermal conductivity.
