Abstract
► Barium vanadate nanoflowers are synthesized by a composite hydroxide mediated (CHM). ► The optical and magnetic property of barium vanadate under UV irradiation are investigated. ► After UV irradiation, the absorption edge has a red shift and magnetic property becomes stronger. ► The mechanism of optical and magnetic property change is discussed by Density Functional Theory.
