Abstract
⺠Cr content determines the microstructure and fracture strength of the oxide scales. ⺠Thermodynamic calculation provides precise predictions of the types of oxide phases. ⺠Cr-oxides scales have stronger adhesion to the steel substrate than Fe-oxides.
