Magnetic and structural properties of the Ce2Fe17−xMnxHy (x = 0, 0.35, 0.5) hydrides

► The growth in magnetic ordering temperature of x = 0, 0.35 is twice that of x = 0.5. ► By contrast, spontaneous moment is about constant in x = 0, 0.35 or grows in x = 0.5. ► Hydrogenation transforms the antiferromagnetic state into the ferromagnetic one. ► The a and c lattice parameters increases or remains almost constant, respectively.
