Abstract
The (1 − x)Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3–xPbTiO3 (x = 34.5%) ferroelectric single crystals with the dimensions of 21 × 21 × 8 mm3 have been successfully grown by the top-seed solution growth method for the first time. The Curie temperature TC, rhombohedral-tetragonal phase transition temperature TRT, piezoelectric coefficient d33, electromechanical coupling coefficient k33, coercive field Ec and remanent polarization Pr are found to be 290 °C, 150 °C, 1720 pC/N, 88%, 9.0 kV/cm, 30 μC/cm2, respectively, exhibiting good comprehensive piezoelectric properties. The heat treatment experiments reveal the good thermal stability of the grown crystal, making it a promising candidate in high temperature and high power application.
