Abstract
► LPSO structure is conducive to the damping capacity on the whole. ► The alloy 6 show a high damping when the strain is above 1.1 × 10−4. ► The damping capacities of the alloys with LPSO do not follow the G-L theory. ► A new damping mechanism that depends on frequency has been found.
