Abstract
► A wide band gap AlNbO4 nanopowder was prepared by low temperature niobium-citrate complexe process. ► AlNbO4 nanopowder was characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, EDX, DRS, impedance and BET analysis. ► At the first time, the sensor properties of AlNbO4 nanopowder was studied for different reducing gases, LPG, NH3, and ethanol. ► AlNbO4 nanopowder is a promising candidate for the detection of ethanol rather than LPG and NH3.
