Abstract
⺠Extruded AZ61A Mg alloy plate of 6 mm thick was welded using FSW process. ⺠Effect of pH, Clâ concentration and immersion time on the corrosion rate was studied. ⺠Corrosion rate was evaluated from weight loss method. ⺠Empirical relationship was developed to predict the corrosion rate. ⺠Lower corrosion rate was found at low concentrated solutions with higher pH and exposure times.
