Abstract
⺠A cost-effective MH alloy was developed to replace rare-earth based AB5. ⺠Composition of V-free AB2 alloy was optimized by the electrochemical performance. ⺠V-free alloy provides a better charge retention but a shorter cycle life comparing to V-containing AB2 alloy.
