Abstract

In this paper, we report on the bifunctional Fe3O4@SiO2@YP0.1V0.9O4:Dy3+ nanocomposites were prepared by the solvothermal method and sol–gel method. The structure, photoluminescence (PL) and magnetic properties of the nanocomposites were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, PL excitation and emission spectra and vibration sample magnetometry. It is shown that Fe3O4@SiO2@YP0.1V0.9O4:Dy3+ nanocomposites with a core–shell structure present excellent fluorescent and magnetic properties. Additionally, the effects of the magnetic field on the luminescence properties of nanocomposites were discussed.
